New Studies in Biblical Theology

March 2, 2009

Continuing the theme of books, I’ve found the New Studies in Biblical Theology (NSBT) series to be one of the most intriguing out there. Edited by D.A. Carson, it deals with a number of topics in Biblical Theology. I have only read Stephen Demptster’s Dominion & Dynasty, which is a fantastic survey of the larger themes found in the Old Testament. I was checking out the rest of the series this morning to see what else would be interesting – these look appealing:

Jesus and the Logic of History by Paul Barnett

Neither Poverty Nor Riches: A Biblical Theology of Possessions by Craig Blomberg

Salvation to the Ends of the Earth: A Biblical Theology of Mission by Andreas Kostenberger and Peter T. O’Brien

From Every People and Nation: A Biblical Theology of Race by J. Daniel Hays

The Temple and the Church’s Mission: Biblical Theology of the Dwelling Place of God by G.K. Beale

Here’s a link to many of the others.
