Week 3

February 9, 2009

Tonight was week three of our evangelism class at Creedmoor Road Baptist Church. We talked about what it means to share the Gospel, what the Gospel is, and the difference between the Gospel and religion. We finished off the night by spending 15 minutes examining Jonah in Jonah 4 and his cold, religious heart that was unwilling to love what God loved (the Ninevites).

What was particularly exciting was what Megan said to me when we got home – she said that it was great to hear Scripture be used that she felt like she didn’t fully understand be explained and applied into her life, and to be shown how it should affect how she should live. This is what I hope to spend my life doing – showing people the amazing riches of the Bible and how, when we’ll take a little time to understand it – it will speak incredible truth into our lives.
