highlights of Denver, according to Megan

January 22, 2009

I am going to let  Bryan elaborate  on the more specifics of our amazing trip to Denver but I thought I would go ahead and show you what I thought were the highlights…

Delta was kind enough to give us $7 of meal vouchers per person after our flight from Raleigh was an hour late taking off, making us miss our flight from Cincinnati to Denver. Surprisingly, the vouchers worked on us. Bryan and I got Chic Fil A and Andy got a Quizno's sub!

Rocky Mountains! This picture was taken from our front porch of our host home. Does it get any better than this?

Lots of cool neighborhoods! This is a picture of the Uptown district (other neat areas worth mentioning-Stapleton, the Highlands, LoDo, Laury, Aurora, Capitol Hill. all of these areas are parts of Denver)

The city is filled with places to go watch sports! This fact sits well with my husband. This is a shot of the Pepsi Center, home of the Denver Nuggets (NBA) and Denver Avalanche (NHL).

These few pictures do not give justice to the city! Denver is a city that we could see ourselves settling into. Please pray for us as we continue to wait on the Lord for his timing. We are trying to step away from our romantic getaway (with Andy) and really think and pray through the thought of planting ourselves in Denver. One thing for sure – Denver, a major city of influence and culture, has a huge need to be saturated with the gospel of Jesus Christ! How exciting that the King of Kings could possibly be preparing to use us to plant seeds for the harvest.
