About

aGCb stands for “a Great Commission blog.” This is why I blog, and this is what I am about.

I grew up in Richmond, VA, attended the University of South Carolina (class of ‘07) where I met my wife, and now am a student at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. Southeastern is a place that has far surpassed my expectations, and has been a great place for my wife and I.

I enjoy studying Biblical theology, apologetics, the church, preaching, and the Great Commission. Other than that, I’m a diehard (yet often disappointed) college football fan, love reading anything and everything, spending time with my wife, and running the occasional half-marathon.

You are in good hands if Dave Black is teaching you Greek. Although, he would say you’re in good hands if you are in Jesus’ hands.

Thanks, Mark – did you go to SEBTS?

I have gotten somewhat acquainted with professor Black over the internet–he reads my Theological German blog. I did attend MABTS, among other institutions of higher learning.
